The exhibition presents 50 works covering the subject of Jewish culture in Polish posters. These are both posters designed to promote thematic exhibitions and cultural events. Undoubtedly, most of all posters were created for theatre plays and musicals. Fiddler on the roof leads the way, as well as Golem, Dybuk, Song of Songs, Book of Job. Among the works you will find posters referring to well-known figures such as Szolem Aleichem, Franz Kafka, Bruno Schulz, Isaak Singer, Isaak Babel, Julian Tuwim, Janusz Korczak and many other writers of Jewish origin, or authors who touch upon Jewish themes. Film posters The Hourglass Sanatorium, Austeria, Golem, Promised Land, Diaspora, and Samson complete the theme of the exhibition.
Among the authors of posters are the most outstanding Polish artists: Mieczysław Górowski, Waldemar Świerzy, Franciszek Starowieyski, Lech Majewski, Marian Stachurski, Andrzej Pągowski, Wiktor Sadowski, Władysław Pluta, Ryszard Kaja, Sebastian Kubica, Leszek Żebrowski and Tomasz Bogusławski.
